Big ol baby

First, let me say this last week hasn't been so bad at all. Kenny did not burn out, nor did I get too lonely. So I was just being pessimistic last weekend I guess.
Next, I've got a big baby inside me! I got an ultrasound on Thursday. Nothing much has changed: baby is still at -1 station, I'm still dilated to just under a 1, and my cervical length is still 1.4 cm. There was one big change though: all of my ultrasounds I've had since L&D, my baby has measured 3-4 pounds. I was worrying he wasn't growing right. Well, this time he measured a whopping 6 pounds and 12 ounces- only a few ounces less than I was when I was born, a week LATE. Albeit, ultrasound measurements aren't always that accurate, but still, it's nice to know he's growing, as is my belly:

Tomorrow I hit 35 weeks. I'm still pretty comfortable and happy. I always thought by this point of my pregnancy I'd be more miserable, but really, I'm happy with how my body looks, and I'm not too uncomfortable (I think most my discomfort comes from being in bed all the time).
I had figured once I got to this point, I'd lighten up the bedrest. Sure enough, Thursday we ran some errands and Friday we went to dinner with Kevin and his family. Apparently it was a bit much and my painless contractions started back up. I would have been ok with that (heck, I'm ready to meet this little guy!) except my reasonable sister Becky made me compare pics or her baby born around 35 weeks and her baby born around 36 weeks. Dylan was gray and floppy, Katelynn was pink and active. Becky convinced me it was worth waiting one more week to avoid a gray, floppy baby. So, more bedrest. But, this is MY LAST WEEK of it. 8 days from now, I'm free!
