My amazing husband

Remember this?

Kenny turned it into this:

This last month has been VERY busy work-wise for me and Kenny has been amazing about watching the kids. I know it's hard after coming home from a hard day of work, where he is very under-appreciated, to immediately take kids off my hands so I can work, but he does it every day without complaint.
He has done 95% of the dishes and 90% of the cooking in the 5 years we've been married (and the majority of the cleaning). He takes out the garbage twice a week without being asked, makes sure the car always has gas (he refills it 9 times out of 10), makes fabulous cookies and pizzas, and plays with the kids like he's a kid himself. He can build, he can repair, and he just installed two new ceiling fans, of his own initiative. He answers things honestly and with thought ("Does this dress make me look fat?" ... "turn around.... hmm, I bet you could find something more flattering"- I actually LOVE that kind of honesty and know how risky it is when your wife is moody and sometimes overly sensitive). He doesn't take offense at pretty much anything. He is completely "without guile" (what an apt description). And he really rocks a beard.

(You may be wondering "if he does all that, what do YOU do, Jen", I wouldn't blame you. I change diapers, take care of kids between 10 pm and 7 am, clean bathrooms, vacuum stairs, and work 10-20 hours a week while dangling children on my knee. But even I concede I don't feel like I do nearly as much as he does- he's hard to keep up with.)

Hooray for Kenny!

Good husband award! That's so awesome! I love when Alan is honest with me too. Don't tell me I look good if I don't, right?
