For those who don't recognize that animal, that is my most beloved Pengwy:
I got him in 3rd grade and he was my very best friend for probably 5 years, I became obsessed with penguins (I knew all 18 species latin names at one point, and planned on being a penguinologist for years), and I held on to that penguin (and my obsession) far longer than a "cool" teenager would have. There are few things in our house that had more sentimental value to me than that penguin did. It was hard enough to let D play with him.
I was not on speaking terms with patches for a few days. We love her to pieces, she's a VERY sweet dog (this is "rodeo month" at school so she's had to put up with Daniel sitting on her, "riding" her while shouting "weehaw!", and she hasn't complained once), but this.... this took the cake. We've made sure she once again ALWAYS has a bone at her disposal so she has an OK outlet for her chewing urges.
(PS I cannot believe my mom let me go out of the house with my hair like that! That pic is from my first plane ride, down to Utah to see my brother Chris)

So sad!
Can you sew him?
That is so sad! Poor Pengwy! Oh and about your hair, it is impossible to keep girls hair looking great. I have Miya's hair all beautiful and by the time we get to church she looks like that picture of you. I think, what did you do to yourself?
not pengwy!!!! i totally remember him and will mourn the loss/injury of pengwy! :)
I teased you about that doll, i know i did... but my heart was so sad when I saw that pic. RIP pengwy, so sorry it had to end this way.
When I saw your blog title post, I was very concerned it was one of the kids it was in reference to...glad to hear they are ok (and cute as ever), but very sorry to hear about Pengwy's injuries. :o)
