Patches, a one-year-old lab mix joined our family officially the other day. Lucy immediately became submissive and is definitely NOT an alpha-type dog, but they've became fast friends, romping and wrestling in the back yard.
She's been very patient and gentle towards Daniel (pictured here giving her a hug):
We need to work on some manners (barking, sitting, staying) but all in all she's a great dog. She already won't leave Kenny's side, she just loves company.
We realize this officially makes us "dog people", and we're ok with that. Lucy has been such a blessing to our family and we think Patches will too. Now we just need to see if she'll catch a frisbee (our biggest disappointment in Lucy was her lack of frisbee-catching skills).

Awww she's cute! My hubby, Phil, and I are thinking about expanding our family, canine style that is (babies are still a few years away for us!)! We're thinking a boxer! We're definitely dog people, we have plans for 2 more dogs, aside from our future boxer! I love how in love Daniel is with his dogs and vice versa, sooo cute! Our dog, Lila, loves kids cause their faces are perfect licking height, but she is still a little too hyper to be left with kids unattended!
Good lookin' dog. Can't wait to meet her!
aw, she's cute! how fortunate that she's a nice patient dog, especially with loveable D. :)
She looks like a nice pup. Lucy has gotten chubby! That li'l stinker. I'm glad she has a new friend to play with.
she's so cute! you're so good to take her in. lucy looks like she's having fun with another dog.
That's great you got another dog. I remember the dogs your family had growing up - Catchy, and I think there was another one...
Looks like fun!
That is so fun!
